13 June, 2018: 'What's in a good birth? WHO recommendations on intrapartum care for a positive childbirth experience'. While introducing the new WHO guidelines on intrapartum care, the speaker focused on the experience of care as a critical aspect of ensuring high-quality labour and childbirth care and improved woman-centred outcomes, and not just complementary to provision of routine clinical practices. SERIES 2: Quality of Care Country Highlights
The second webinar series highlighted examples of quality improvement work undertaken in the nine countries that are leading the Quality of Care Network. SERIES 1: Point of care quality improvement for maternal and newborn health
The first webinar series spoke to capacity building for improving quality of care in health facilities, at the point of care. The second series, starting end of July, will focus on how to adapt and implement quality of care standards for maternal and newborn health.
