Building a team of coaches to improve quality of care for mothers & newborns The example of the National Quality of Care Network in India

Suzy Sarah John and Jeena Pradeep are nurses in the Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India. They have recently joined the first group of nurse mentors in India'a National Quality of Care Network,a self sustained network active in 9 states in the country, with over 70 quality improvement teams, and many partners in the public and private sectors. By becoming mentors, they will be sharing their expertise and know how on how to improve quality of care for mothers and newborns with other health professionals. Here they explain why they volunteered and what they are hoping to achieve.
