In St Peter hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, a quality improvement team looked at ways to reduce neonatal deaths. The team is made of eight people – nurses, midwives, physicians, clinical pharmacists, public health specialists, who work full time at improving quality of care at the hospital. found that reducing the time between the decision to perform a C-section and the incision would save newborn lives, as well as have positive outcomes for their mothers.
