Professional associations in support of the Quality of Care Network

Health care professional associations at the launch of the Network for Improving Quality of Care for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health have endorsed four joint statements calling all their member associations to assume a critical leadership role in advocating and implementing the actions outlined in the joint statements:

• Improving Quality of Maternal and Newborn Care in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (English, French)

• International WHO Recommendations on Interventions to Improve Preterm Birth Outcomes (EnglishFrenchPortuguese)

• International Policy Statement for Universal Use of Kangaroo Mother Care for Preterm and Low Birth Weight Infants (EnglishFrench)

• Managing possible serious bacterial infection in young infants 0–59 days old when referral is not feasible (English)
