The Global Leaning Laboratory for Quality Universal Health Care is organizing a webinar on quality in primary health care om Thursday 22nd August at 14h00 CET (1 hour)
At its heart, primary health care (PHC) is about caring for people, rather than simply treating specific diseases or conditions.
Dr Shams Syed, Quality Systems and Resilience, WHO and Dr Kamaliah Noh, technical expert on operational policy development will discuss how high-performing PHC cannot be achieved without attention to quality health services, with a particular emphasis on effectiveness, patient safety and people-centredness.
Participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of quality health services in primary health care.
- Recognize key practical linkages between efforts focused on quality and the drive for PHC.
- Understand country pathways for improving the quality of health services in PHC settings.
