New resources for point of care quality improvement

The ‘Coaching for Quality Improvement’ guide, for post-training on-the-job support as well as ‘Setting up and Managing a Quality Improvement Programme at District Level’ guide have just been released.  They are part of regional package of resources  for improving the quality of care for mothers and newborns in health facilities, which also includes training manuals on point of care quality improvement’ for both facilitators and participants.

This package has been developed jointly by the South-East Asia Regional Office of World Health Organization (WHO SEARO), WHO Collaborating Center for Training and Research in Newborn Care, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi and the USAID Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project and is available at  www.pocqi.org.
