The Network for Improving Quality of Care for Maternal and Newborn Health is organizing a webinar on ‘Quality improvement for newborn health: from local solutions to national learning network’.

The speaker, Dr Vikram Datta, will present how a medical college in New Delhi, having used quality improvement (QI) techniques to reduce newborn mortality, spread its learnings and know how to create a self sustained learning network dedicated to QI for newborns.

Dr Datta will explain how a team of dedicated health practitioners managed to build the National Quality of Care Network from the bottom up. It now includes nine states in India, and partners such as public and private healthcare providers, government agencies, academia and development organisations.

The webinar will introduce participants to:

  • Starting quality improvement interventions on a shoestring, without awaiting extra resources or equipment
  • Encouraging learning and sharing of experiences to build a self sustained learning network
  • Building partnerships to expand and sustain the network

The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session.

Presenter: Dr. Vikram Datta, Director Professor, Department of Neonatology, Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi.

Who should join: Health practitioners and managers.

This is a webinar in the special country highlights series of the Quality of Care Network. See here the details on all webinars in the series on capacity building for improving quality of care in health facilities.
